On June 21, 2016 Meadville Medical Center, Crawford Central School District, Allegheny College and the City of Meadville convened a day-long “Summer Summit” to bring together numerous agencies and volunteer groups who are working, broadly, to improve the quality of life of the Meadville community. The Summit was born out of the concern of the community’s ability to support and sustain initiatives, both financially and without burning out the many volunteers who make this work possible. With the goal of maximizing our collective impact on the community, Summit participants were asked to define a common vision of success and to identify two or three “SMART” community-wide strategic priorities to focus our collective work over the next three years..
